What to Do When Blogger is Down? GARDEN!

That's right, Friday morning instead of launching Foodie Friday (which I am still waiting to reappear) I was happily knee deep in dirt getting the veggie beds prepped then filled. I, for one, took this Blogger shut down as a forced vacation and enjoyed my hours away from the computer and out in the fresh air. You would think for some this was the worst thing to happen EVER but instead it is just a little break from the every day and a nice chance to reflect on how lucky we are that this ISN'T the worst thing that could happen... Helllooo? Japan? All the flooding and tornadoes in the south? Many many more things could be worse...uh, that being said, I wish I could say I totally forgot all about the tech issues all the questions that lingered in the back of my head..when will it be back up? Will FF post since it was scheduled? Will my comments still be there...blah blah blah. It seems silly, really, but I AM human after all!

So back to Friday morning - since I was working so so early (like, 6am ya'll) I even had my hubby available to take pics before he set off to work:

Getting the Arugula to cooperate...

Yea... is it obvious we like tomatoes?

Hello lovely...

We also like us some peppers!

A glamorous butt shot...clearly E couldn't resist...

Broccoli and cauliflower...

I have quite a few plants left as well as lots of seeds to get in the ground but there will be plenty of time for that this weekend. It was nice to get some plants in without the glaring sun blazing down on me. We still have a bit to go but for now my little seedlings are just like Joe Cocker...Feelin' Alright....

Since blogger was down you may have missed a few things...Foodie Friday is going on NOW and will be open through Tuesday to make up for this awful Blogger mess.

***Also - if you missed my GIVEAWAY of Antaeus Organics Fertilizer (I can not stress how FABULOUS this stuff is!!) make sure to click here and enter. No worries if your garden is planted already - you can add it to the soil and mix it in with your fingers! ;) ***

Oh - and some of you may have noticed my hair is about 12 inches shorter than a few weeks ago. Yea. This is what happens when you take the whole DIY thing a little too far...

C'est la vie...that's just how I roll!

Feel like sharing what you were doing during BlogOut 2011?? Feel free to leave a comment!!
