Foodie Friday #2 + BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS!!!

First off, I want to thank everyone for linking up last week. We got 83 recipes and ideas which is about 82 more than I expected!!

Secondly...I HIT 100 FOLLOWERS this week!! I know it may not seem like much to some of you (I can only imagine what it must be like to hit 1000!) but to me it is a little pat on the back to myself for all the long hours put in at my trusty computer and knowing someone out there is appreciating it! I couldn't have done it without you, obviously, so to show my many thanks I will be posting my first GIVEAWAY on Monday. Please don't forget to stop by and enter to win!!!

Third - we are MOVING!!! If you are here today it means you have already found us...see the .com at the top of the page?? Well - if you aren't here then you are lost, in which case, I really can't help you!! Over the weekend we will be making a few more changes such as ditching the walnut Avenue header for the new Little Brick Ranch but until then we shall carry on as is...don't want to freak you guys out by moving too fast!

Fourthly (is that a word) - I was just featured at At The Picket Fence...please hop on over to check the lovely ladies out if you haven't already. They have a great linky party goin' on there too!!

And now, on to our scheduled program!!

Due to the very successful turnout last week, E and I were overwhelmed with the many options to choose from. We picked a few recipes to make but also bookmarked a few others for future use. If you didn't get featured this week there is still a chance your recipe may be featured next week so keep popping in on Fridays to check...I mean, you'll be here anyway to link up, right?? So on with our Foodie Friday Week #1 Features:

As soon as I saw this I just knew E would pick it to test. He is a sucker for Orange Chicken...going so far as to eat Panda Express on occasion...sooo not good for you! He was happy to see a version he could make at home that looked fairly simple and quick. The outcome was amazing and I had one happy hubby on my hand as well as a few days I didn't have to pack him a lunch! :) Works for me!

How good does this look? I am sure you all know how expensive store bought granola is? E recently came home with a bag exclaiming how delicious it was and how he NEEDED it and...when I asked him the price he shut up real quick. I explained we could make it for less but I never got around to searching a good recipe. Thank goodness too Foodie Friday it fell right into my lap. We switched out the cashews for pepitas (E's favorite) but other than that we went by the book. This stuff is AMAZING and addictive! I should have put it in a drawer but instead we kept it out on the counter so 5 days later it is nothing but a distant memory...

And last but in no way least...

I have to give mad props to Nikki as this was a genius thing to do. She created food wrappers out of a shower curtain...don't worry, it was brand new and made of food safe plastic!! You know I am a sucker for all things frugal and I HATE to throw things out...especially plastic bags that are used once then discarded. This was a very creative and cost effective project and they are washable and reusable!! This is a girl after my heart...and my wallet! Way to go, Nikki!!

Congrats, Ladies on my first Foodie Friday Features!! Please feel free to grab the Featured Button in the right sidebar. I am happy you linked up and I am expecting good things to come... Again - for those of you who were not featured from last week please stay tuned...we have some things bookmarked but haven't gotten around to making them yet...

Now, on to this weeks party!!

Foodie Friday Week #2
There are no rules to this linky party except...duh duh duh done...

*Become a follower so I can check out your blog and follow ya back! This is not mandatory but certainly appreciated!

*Your link MUST be a food related item, duh! It can be a recipe, a specific dish you are craving, a new foodie product you just found, a specific restaurants specific dish...it can be a picnic you had - I really don't care! Just make me want to eat it!

* Add my button or link to your post or side bar so others can join in - they are located on the bottom of the left sidebar...Walnuts or Garlic? I dig em' both!

*Try not to post and run - check out another recipe and see what's cookin' elsewhere! You may just learn something!

Here is what I'll do in return besides hosting this fabulous bash of course...

Each week E and I will pick a recipe (maybe a few) to try out for our weekend feasting. If we likey - we will feature your recipe and blog the following Friday. If we don't likey...well, we won't mention you at all. We all know the golden rule - if you don't have anything nice to say then shut up!

The linky list will be open through Sunday evening every week!!

Let the mouth watering, drool inducing, stomach grumbling fun BEGIN!! I'm Hungry...
LET'S EAT!!
